A church that is totally dependent on God.

When people start to lose their dependence on God it is a sign that their relationship with Him is in trouble. When we first come to know Jesus and the benefit of His guidance and strength we find it easy to be dependent on Him. Unfortunately it is just when we feel we have grown up and no longer need God's help that Satan launches a new attack on us and often makes us fall. We fall because we have tried to fight with our own strength instead of asking God for help. Being dependent on God means being open to the Holy Spirit, as it is when we are filled with His Spirit that we are truly able to utilise the strength of God on a day-to-day basis. It is the Holy Spirit working in and through us that brings us to spiritual maturity, that brings us greater understanding of the scriptures, and enables us to serve God more effectively.
