Our Vision
|
Our Vision for the Future Our original vision was very much inward looking - about the things we needed to do to make our church the way we believe God wanted it to be. After much discussion and prayer we adopted a vision for the future on 30th January 2007. This vision is a mission strategy which will influence all we do in the church for the next 5 years. This vision has come from much time seeking the will of God for us as a church in our commuinity. The vision entails us moving strategically forward with a set of 8 specific aims to work towards and a timescale of 5 years to motivate us. We believe that with the right comittment and by listening to the word of the Lord we can reach and surpass each of these aims. The vision for the future does not replace the original vision of the church. The new vision is about what we believe God wants the church to do. The elements of the original vision - set out on the next pages - still provide the core values of our church The eight aims of our vision are 1. To develop a deeper relationship with God 2 To build up to 300 committed Christians in the church 3. To develop and run a daily drop-in centre for young people 4. To develop and run a daily after schools club 5. To imporove and expand our buildings 6. To develop our leadership and admin structures 7. To develop and maintain a termly seekers course 8. To develop and maintain a termly first contact course
